Welcome to UNK's Lambda Pi Eta!

Alpha Omicron Chapter
University of Nebraska at Kearney

Here we honor those students who excel in the communication discipline and support the field of rhetoric. As one of the earliest and most fundamental forms of education, rhetoric has continued to prove itself fundamental to our personal lives, or social world, and political relationships. As Plato wrote, "Is not rhetoric, taken generally, a universal art of enchanting the mind by arguments; which is practiced not only in courts and public assemblies, but in private houses also, having to do with all matters, great as well as small, good and bad alike, and is in all equally right, and equally to be esteemed." It is a difficult field, and this chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta honor society is dedicated to developing and spreading the knowledge of rhetoric in order to improve our lives, relationships, and world.
